Quiz League of London
Welcome to the official web site of the Quiz League of London.
The six teams for the 2012 Summer Friendly League were drawn in a draft on 15 May at The One Tun.
This year the teams have Olympic names, and they will be published as soon as the team secretaries tell us what they are!
The fixture list is currently being finalised, and will be published in the next few days.
The matches, which will be played at The Artillery Arms and The Crown, begin on Tuesday 19th June.
The 2012 NTQF will take place at The Counting House on Saturday 9th June.
As usual, the day will begin with QLL's unique individual rally quiz, which will begin at 11am sharp. This will be followed by the Don Bissett Memorial Cup match, a picture quiz, and several team quizzes in the afternoon, plus QLL's inaugural pairs quiz.

Annual General Meeting
The 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Quiz League of London will take place at 20:00 on Tuesday 12th June at The One Tun.
The AGM is open to every QLL player and, as voting is done on a team basis, we hope that each team will be represented by at least one attendee.
The 2012 Summer Social & Quizfest will take place at The Crown on Sunday 15th July from 13:00.
The event is free to enter, is open to quizzers and non-quizzers alike, and food will be available for purchase.

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our first open buzzer quiz tournament on Saturday 22 September 2012 in London.
The tournament will be in the University Challenge format, i.e. a starter for ten on the buzzer, no conferring, followed by three bonus questions.
All places have now been filled, and anyone interested in being added to the reserve list should

Invitation to tender for question setting
QLL is inviting question-setters to bid for three contracts to set questions for its principal competitions for the next three seasons.
The main contract, covering League and Cup competitions played between Sep 2012 and Apr 2013, is for 23 question sets containing 32 or 36 pairs of questions.
QLL is also seeking separate bids for its President’s Cup and Brain of London competitions.

The Summer Friendly League begins in mid June 2012 and is a great way to learn the brand of team quizzing that we play in a (slightly!) less competitive environment than the regular league, which resumes in September 2012.
